Armadillo Translation Services

Armadillo Translation Services

Armadillo have over twenty years providing and translating International documents from many countries into many languages.

High quality professional translation and localisation services enable accurate and efficient communication. Armadillo certified and legal translation professionals adhere to a strict code of ethics and confidentiality.

Certified and legal translations can be provided for a broad range of official documents including corporate registry documents, summonses, contracts and naturalisation and immigration documents.

We use certified translators wherever possible or localised experts and lawyers where needed and can translate into, or from, more than 180 languages, no matter what the file or format.

There are many variables to take into account when choosing a translation service. Below we have identified the most important factors to consider. Of course, they will vary in importance, depending upon your unique requirements and this is where we will be able to advise you on the best solutions.

Our translation services include:

  • Basic/General (translated files): The document is translated from one language into another. The translation and spelling are then checked to ensure its accuracy. This translation should not be used for contractual, legal or court purposes as it a general translation and should only be used to understand the documents provided.
  • Certified translation: The translated document will be stamped and certified by our UK law firm, Armadillo Legal Limited. A certification letter will be provided confirming that it is a true and faithful translation with our official seal, stamp and signature.
  • Legal translation: The translated document will be signed, stamped, sealed and bound by legal ribbon by Armadillo Legal Limited. This makes the next steps for Legalisation and Apostille more straightforward.
  • Certified and legalised translation: The translated document will be certified, signed, stamped, sealed and bound by legal ribbon and will be apostilled by the British Foreign Office. This means that the translated file has been legalised by Apostille. This is often needed for Overseas/International use.
  • Proof reading and localisation: The document will be checked for accuracy and corrected by a proof-reader who is a recent or current native speaker. This is often for websites, brochures, or information and fact sheets to be used internationally in specific countries.

Speed

With translations, speed is often the most critical factor and we are regularly asked for urgent translations at short notice. Turnaround time depends on the word count. As a general rule, a professional translator can translate around 2000 words per day.

Accuracy and Quality

Legal translations must be accurate, precise in terminology and clear in presentation. We pick the most suitable and experienced translator for each assignment.

Proof reading by a second professional translator is recommended to ensure accuracy and fluency, but depends on the ultimate use of the translations, deadline and budget involved.

Where an urgent, substantial translation is required it is important to recognise that there may well need to be a trade - off between speed and consistency to meet a tight deadline.

Price

Pricing is normally based on word count and will be affected by the following factors:

Timescale - planning ahead will avoid priority surcharges, though we know that firms have to deal with the deadlines imposed on them by clients.

Language combination - different languages are charged at different rates, e.g. Japanese will be more expensive than French.

Subject matter - more technical documents will attract higher translation rates as they will generally require specialist knowledge.
